Welcome to Medway Middle School!
Middle School is the bridge spanning a student’s transformation from elementary to high school. While students expand their learning in traditional content areas, middle school is also the time that students develop the skills and strategies necessary to be successful in their work after leaving Medway Middle School.
While the next four years can be very exciting for students, they can also be anxious and challenging years as students develop academically, socially, and emotionally. As students make the journey across the bridge, it is our responsibility as a school community to provide various levels and types of support. Our primary goal must be to assist students in reaching their highest potential in regards to both their academic work but also their social-emotional development.
Medway Middle School seeks to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of each student while providing students with a well rounded educational experience. While the developmental needs of students vary within each grade level and over the course of four years of middle school, we seek to support the individual student’s independence.
Aside from our academic program, students are encouraged to participate in our after school programs to further grow through new experiences and taking on new responsibilities. While Medway Middle School offers various athletic offerings, students can also participate in Student Council, Green Team, Math Club, or participate in different social activities during their time at MMS. Through these different experiences, students can expand their own learning while becoming part of the Medway Middle School community.
The webpage offers a primary resource for parents, guardians, and students to refer back to about important information regarding our school A great place to start is the Student-Parent Handbook which contains important policies and procedures of Medway Middle School. Parents and students should review and discuss the information together and use it as a resource throughout the year.
